Locker Talk Cartridge

Doesn't it always seem like your students never have a pencil handy?  Well I have a solution for you!  I keep two pencil containers by my classroom door close to the pencil sharpener.  One container reads "Please sharpen" and the other one reads "Sharpened and ready to go!".  I like to reuse, reduce, and recycle so I use the Crystal Light, or off brand name drink containers. They are the perfect size for pencils!

MATERIALS USED FOR PROJECT:
2 empty drink mix cans
Locker Talk Cartridge
DCWV Grade School paper
ATG 714 gun
2-way glue pen
Pre-made colored tags (you could also use the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge for these)
String
Computer (I used the Comic Sans font to print the words for the pencils)

If my students do not have a pencil for the day, they may use one from the sharpened pencil container but they must sharpen a pencil at the end of the day to replace the one they borrowed.  I also have a student check the pencil containers daily to make sure we are ready to go for the next day.  I hope you like them.  Have a great day!!! ;)

  4. I love this project! First of all I love reusing things...I encourage my students to do so as well. Also, I have the same system with bins right now, but after seeing how cute your project is, I think I need to revamp. Thanks for the inspiration :)
