Happy Birthday Classroom Poster

I truly fell in love with this cake when I made it for the first time last week.  I thought that this image would be perfect for a birthday classroom poster.

Materials used:
Simple Charmed cartridge
Cake on page 74-cut fit to page (11 inches)
**the cake slices are actually the pie slices found on page 43-cut at 5 inches -I also cut the cherry on top off of the pie slice to make it look more like a slice of cake ;)
Happy Birthday on page 74 was cut using the "word" feature in bold and also in the standard format to give it the background mat.
**I would recommend laminating the words "Happy Birthday" as well as the cake so that you could use it year after year.  You could also laminate the individual cake slices and use a dry erase maker to put each students name and birthday on them---or you could give each student their slice of cake on their special day.  Just remember that you will need to recreate the cake slices each year if you decided to do that.  I am in the process of creating my own birthday classroom poster for next year!  Have a wonderful day ;)

  3. This is so cute! I love Simply Charmed. I really like the idea of giving each child their piece of cake...and I could make a 'batch' to last two years at a time too. Thanks for the inspiration.
