Happy Birthday Elmo gift bag and album!

I love how this gift bag turned out!!!  I purchased a large white celebration bag from Michaels for $1.49 and used the Storybook cartridge for the fit to page scallop and the Sesame Street Friends cartridge to create the one and only Elmo and his friends Big Bird and Cookie Monster.  A co-worker of mine is having a birthday party for her daughter and the theme for the party is...well you know who they are....all of the characters from Sesame Street.

I decided to make her an album using The Cinch  binding tool.  I purchased The Cinch last June at the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention and this was the very first time I used it.  I love this!!!  I am going to make more albums and projects with this tool.  It is a must have for all scrapbookers and paper crafters ;)
I cut the characters out at 5 inches and used the Storybook cartridge to cut out the frames at 5 and 4 1/2 inches.

For the page on the left I used my Imagine and the Better Together Cartridge to create the "Hey Cupcake" image.

I love this image of Elmo!!  He was the easiest character to layer.  I think I am going to dig out those baby pictures from my oldest son's 1st birthday party and scrapbook them with Elmo!  He loved Elmo before Steve and Joe came along from Blue's Clue's.  I really wish Provo Craft would come out with more Nickelodeon characters.
Stay tuned this weekend for a Peachy Keen stamp give away!!!

Spring is near!

Spring is quickly approaching and so now it is off to making those sweet little Easter and Spring goodies for your family, friends, students, and parents who all help you in your classroom!  I don't think that I will ever get tired of using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.  I am going to spend some time creating more things for my classroom as well as upcoming birthday events!  I am looking forward to spring break so I can organize my scrap dungeon (actually I'd like to make more room for more stuff!)  There are a few scrapbooking conventions coming up and the gang and I need to start making arrangements.  So much to look forward to....Spring, Spring break and scrapbooking conventions.  Now if we could just get some warmer weather....everything would be perfect!  Have a blessed weekend everyone...stay tuned for an upcoming Peachy Keen Stamp give away!!

More fun with the Imagine!! Happy Valentine's Day Everyone ;)

I loved how easy and fun these cards were while making them.  I used my Imagine with the Better Together cartridge.  I think they turned out super cute!  I am putting a few of these cards into my sons' lunch boxes.  One is in high school and I think he never gets tired of Mom putting a little surprise in his lunch!  My younger son is in the fifth grade and he is just not into all of this, "love, love, love stuff" as he would say!  I do think they will both like the candy that I am putting with the card.

These are a few candy treats that I made for my co-workers.  I hope they enjoy them!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!

Why I Love School bulletin board

My students had to write about why they love school using the 6 + 1 Writing Traits "Ideas" trait for a school project.  I wanted to jazz up their writing pieces by displaying them outside of my classroom.  I added some hearts and cupid!  I used the Love Struck cartridge for the large hearts (cut at fit to page 11 inches), cupid (cut at fit to page 11 inches), and the grouping of the smaller hearts were cut at 9 inches and layered.  I used my Gypsy to weld my letters together and used the Pooh Font cartridge (letters cut at 3 1/2 inches).  I would like to create some of the 3-D hearts on the Love Struck cartridge and hang them inside of my classroom from the ceiling ( if time permits!)  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!!

Thanks a bunch card!!

Spring is coming!  What a great time of the year to create some thank you cards for those wonderful parent volunteers and helpers in your classroom.  Every year our school has a special luncheon for all of our incredible volunteers who help contribute to making our students successful.  I am going to start creating all of my cards and gifts now in hopes to finish before Spring!!!  I used the Walk in My Garden cartridge for this card.  Have a wonderful week everyone!!
