Life is a Beach cartridge

I really liked how this "mini" diaper cake turned out.  I made this for one of my husband's friends-the couple is expecting a bouncing baby boy in May. They have nicknamed him Turtle so I thought putting cute little turtles all over the cake would be appropriate!   Here are the materials used for the project:

Materials:

Life's a Beach cartridge-turtle cut at 3 inches and garland was cut at 2 inches

50 diapers

rubber bands

1 silver tray (purchased from the Dollar Tree-I love that store!)

Ribbon I purchased from Michaels (Celebration brand)

Martha Stewart punch

DCWV cardstock

one long wooden spoon (to fit into the center of the cake-it holds all layers together)

I have some really cool school projects coming up for spring bulletin boards so stay tuned.  I am headed to a new scrapbook store that opened up in our area called "The Scrapbook Nook".  I love the big craft store chains but there is nothing like having a scrapbook specialty store that carries certain items you just cannot find.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!
