Happy Saturday Everyone and welcome to the first stop into the Blasting Off into Summer Blog Hop!! I wanted to send my 3rd grade students off with a bookmark. I thought this would be a great way to blast them off into the fourth grade!! I encourage my students each year at the beginning of the summer to participate in the local public library reading program. The best part of this reading program is that it is FREE!!! When students return to school in the Fall, they visit me and show me that they participated in the reading program-I love to give them a prize!! I think these bookmarks will help encourage them to read over the summer and take part in the reading program. Here are the materials used for the project:
Materials:
BLAST OFF cartridge for the Imagine-used for the rocket
LOCKER TALK cartridge used for the bookmark, star
SMILEY FACES cartridge-used for the clouds
MICKEY FONT cartridge-letters welded with the Gypsy
Peachy Keen Stamp set-Teacher Says!
Momento black ink
pink and white gel pens
string
1/2 hole punch
red, white, and yellow cardstock
I am giving away a My Pink Stamper stamp set "Boy Crazy"!!!
All you have to do to be entered to win is:
1. Become a follower, if not already
2. Leave me a comment on THIS post
That is it!! I will choose a winner via Random.org on Monday afternoon!! Good Luck everyone and thank you for joining in on the blog hop!
Here is the blog hop line up:

I'm sorry to say that I have finished our hop. It was one of the most enjoyable things I have done in ages! It has also been a great stress reducer at a time when I really needed. All 4 of my seniors WILL graduate today, though I had to drag one of them kicking and screaming all the way! Funny how they are so anxious to get away from school until the time comes and then they can't imagine life without it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting us. I really enjoyed hopping with you!
I think its great that you continue to inspire your students into the summer. The bookmarks are adorable.

Wonderful bookmark Wendy! I think these are so great to send kids home with! i think a love of reading is one of the best things we can give to our children - we are avid readers in my family - my hubby and i and our 3 children! And I love bookmarks - silly i know - but i do and I will never own an electronic reader as for me there is nothing like opening a new book :) I am a new follower and loving what I have seen so far!
