Welcome to day #2 in the Queen of my Craftrooms Back to School Blog Hop!
Today I wanted to share with you a super easy organizational tool for teachers to use with their students in the first few weeks of school. A new group of students brings forth a learning curve. During the first few weeks of school, a teacher must memorize names, get to know their students but most of all-keep them safe at all times. Dismissal can be challenging to say the least so I created some school bus and car backpack tags to help organize the end of the day challenges.
Here are the materials used for the project:
Locker Talk cartridge-bus on page 70 cut at 3 1/2 inches, car on page 58 cut at 3 inches
Yellow, black, red, and white cardstock
black gel pen
ribbon
two way glue pen (which I recommend using on the older Cricut cartridges-the layering can be tricky)
1/2 inch hole punch
**Tip: I would recommend laminating the dismissal tags so they last a little longer. You can always write the bus number on top of the lamination if a student rides more than one bus. You can also place magnets on the back of each tag and stick them on the chalkboard-I would recommend writing the students name on the front/back of the tag.
Don't forget to leave a comment here stating what you remember as a child when you came back to school to start a new year for a second chance to win an I-Rock tool set. Also leave comments on each blog in the hop line in order to win additional prizes-see Michelle's blog for more info!!

I always remember being so excited to go school supply shopping!! Getting all new supplies was a big thing in my family because back then money was really tight. I remember being so proud of my brand new school box filled with all of the supplies. I still love school supply shopping for my girls but, it has gotten less fun as they grow up. So, this year I gave them a challenge to see who can buy all their supplies (backpack and lunchbox included) for only $50.00. So far they are doing great. I never got to take the bus to school or get picked up from school because we lived only 2 blocks from school and now so do my daughters. Your tags are wonderful. I know any teacher would love to have those to remind them what bus to put the kids on.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! As a future teacher, I will definitely keep this idea in mind! Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful creations, I am now a follower. :)
ReplyDeleteI would be honored if you stopped by my craft blog, Made Especially For You.

The thing I remember the most about the last day of school is jumping in the lake with all our clothers (Grade school tradition, we thought we were so crazy!) The first day of school I remember not being able to sleep the night before or eat in the morning. I was a huge ball of nerves until I walked through those doors which always seemed like an outter body experience! I kinda miss those times:) Thanks for giving me the chance to relive it!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. So inviting and fun. I love the moving school bus too. Your projects are fun and bright! Thanks for sharing, CallyAnn(new follower)
