Some super quick and simple Christmas Cards

I can't believe that I made some "Cricut-less" cards :)  These are not my original creations, I actually saw a video on how to create these cards.  I used the Basic Grey embossing folders and they turned out pretty cute.  I was able to produce a dozen cards in less than two hours.  Not too bad!!!!  Still so many things to do and never enough time to get them all done.  I swear next year I am starting in July!!!  It is hard to believe that we are already through the first week of December and there are only 19 days until Christmas.  So it looks like it will be baking, cleaning, and a little shopping this weekend to hopefully get everything done.  Wish me luck!

Ornament Gift Card Holders

I had a great time this weekend scrappin' with my peeps!  My goal was to create 12 of these ornament gift card holders and I actually finished them!  It felt good to finally be able to the craft.  Everything  as far as crafting seems to have been put on hold.  Life tends to get in the way of our fun sometimes!  I am hoping to get myself back on track with my stamp line and projects very soon.  2013 will be here before we know it and I am going to make it my New Year's resolution to create a project every week.....we'll see how long that lasts!  There are new stamping and scrapbooking conventions in my future :)
I used the Birthday Bash cartridge to cut out the scallop at  4 1/2 inches-George Basic Shapes cartridge for the circle cut at 3 3/4 inches.  Another circle cut at 3 3/4 inches and then trimmed down to make the pocket to hold the gift card.  I had a label punch that I used to make the ornament topper, added a brad and some Christmas ribbon from Michael's.  The various stamps were from My Pink Stamper and  Hero Arts.  I found these super cute Christmas flowers with a touch of bling at the checkout counter at Michael's for $1.00!!!!  The base of the ornament was created from Gina K. Designs pure luxury card-stock.  The printed card-stock was from My Mind's Eye.  I thought this would be a great project to make to spice up those gift cards that I will be handing out over the holiday season.  Have a super week !!

The one and only....Dyan Reaveley

Me with Dyan Reaveley-I took her "Art Journal" class at The Queen's Ink and had a blast!!  She is one of the most creative individuals I have ever met!  I love her attitude toward life and how she expresses herself through her love and passion of Art and Creating!  I had the wonderful privilege of meeting her and learning from her.  When I left, I felt so comfortable with myself as an artist and crafter.  I think I become too wrapped up into what others think of my crafting instead of just doing what I love.  Thanks Dyan Reaveley for showing me the way to true art and creativity!

Just look at those wonderful inky fingers!!
You should see her journals!!!!

One of the best classes I have ever taken!!!  If you ever get a chance to meet her you should jump at the opportunity to do so!!!!

Sorry for the dark photo!

I took this picture in a not so lighted area!  Sorry it is so dark.  I just wanted to share them with you-I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge to make a few Halloween cards.  The ghost and the vampire were cut at 3 1/2 inches.  I found a pack of Recollections paper from Michaels that I purchased last year which works great!  The stamps are from My Creative Time.  Hope everyone had an enjoyable Halloween.  Now it is off to making those Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.  I have a few projects that I am working on for those bus drivers and teachers!  Have a safe and warm weekend :)

Create a Critter 2 cartridge

I truly love the Create a Critter 2 cartridge!!  I came across this super spooky owl and thought it would be perfect to make some goodie bags for my students.  The fence was made with a Martha Stewart punch, used a circle punch for the moon, and the Trick or Treat stamp is from a Stampin' up set.  Now that Sandy the Hurricane has passed through Maryland it looks like we are back to school and our character stroll and fall party are back on track!!
Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!!!!!!!!

Bridal Shower Banner

This is the bridal shower banner that I made to go along with the favors.  I used the Pretty Pennants cartridge (which I really love but was a little disappointed that it didn't pre-cut the holes on the banner panels)  I used the Storybook cartridge for the words and welded them on the Gypsy, and then I used the Hannah Montana cartridge for the butterflies.  I used the "flip" button for the butterfly image on the ends.  Spellbinder die cuts were used (Lacey circles and circles) to add some dimension and added Stickles (Diamond) to give it some bling!!! I punched the holes in the banner panels and then added some black ribbon.  I really loved how this project turned out!!!  Well it is now off to hit some of those Columbus Day sales at Jo Ann Fabrics and Michael's!!!!

Bridal Shower Favors

I had a great time making these bridal shower favors.  When the bride disclosed what the colors were for her wedding, I just couldn't imagine the combination in my head.  But I think the color selections were actually stunning!  The wedding was elegant and beautiful.  Here is what I came up with for the bridal shower we gave her at school.  I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge to cut out the little bags (cut at 4 inches) then I embossed them with the Cuttle bug using the Swirls folder.  The Hannah Montana cartridge has some super cute butterflies (cut at 1 1/4 inches using the multi-cut feature)  Added some bling using the I-Rock and used a circle, scallop punch, stamp from My Creative Time and then a pop-dot to give it some dimension.  I purchased the ribbon from Michaels and the pre-cut tulle circles are from Wilton which I found those at Walmart for only $2.00 (what a bargain)
