More While You Were Out Folders

I used the Locker Talk and My World cartridges to put together some "while you were out" folders for students.  These folders are a little more suited for the older grades, middle and/or high school where teachers only teach one content area.  You can jazz them up a bit more than what I did-I love these folders for students who are absent.  This serves as a great organizational tool for teachers and makes it very easy for both student and teacher to locate missing assignments. I recommend laminating the folders to help with the wear and tear over the years.

CARS cartridge goodie bags and party centerpiece

I had a blast scrappin' with the gals tonight!  I was able to finish up the party goodie bags for my great nephew's 1st birthday party tomorrow :)  It's hard to believe that handsome little boy is turning 1!!!!  I cut the CARS logo at 2 1/2 and used extra large plastic bags found at Michaels.  Pretty simple, quick and super cute!!!

I had a fun time creating this centerpiece for the party.  I used an old cardboard box-covered it with black card stock and then cut out the images.  I purchased some shiny red party filler, two floral foam squares and hot glued them into the box.  I was originally going to use skewers but found some straws for the traffic signs and glued them into the foam pieces.  This is a fun and cute cartridge to play with-I think I might cut out more images for some scrapbook pages :)  Hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday afternoon.  I am now off to bed-I need the rest before the party tomorrow :)

Birthday Bash and CARS Cartridges

I created this birthday banner using Birthday Bash and the CARS cartridges.  The banner base and overlay were both cut at 10 1/2 inches.  McQueen cut at 4 inches, Mater 5 inches, Sally 3 3/4 inches, the flags and Cars emblem cut at 4 inches.  The light signal was cut at 5 inches.  Once I had the design in mind it was pretty easy and quick to complete.  One thing- make sure you cut the images at least 4 inches or larger.  The CARS cartridge has a lot of layering and it is detailed.  Piecing the layers together took some time but overall it was a fun project to make.  My great nephew turned 1 today and we will be celebrating his birthday this coming weekend.  Guess who he is a big fan of? LOL.....Lightening McQueen!!  Centerpiece and party favor bag pictures to follow :)
