Pencil treats for students

I am really liking the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cartridge!  I cut the hearts out at 2 inches and used a pop-dot to attach it to the pencil.  Another super quick, easy, and inexpensive gift to make students.  This project took less than 20 minutes to make.  I am sure a class set of 24 would take less than an hour!!  My kind of project :)
Hope you are having a fun and relaxing weekend.  I am headed down to the dungeon to finish more of my Disney scrapbook pages.  I am finally making some progress!!!!  This might even be an album that I will finish from beginning to end LOL.  Happy crafting!

These pencil treats are so much fun to make not to mention what I always love in a project....simple, quick, and inexpensive!!  The pencils were purchased at the Dollar Tree, ribbon is from Michaels, I purchased the 2 by 8 clear bags from a store on Ebay (got a great deal!!) The heart was cut at 2 inches using the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake cartridge.  Peachy Keen stamps to the rescue again!!  I love those stamps :)  Now off to make 23 more!!!!!!   Happy Monday everyone.

Back to School Stamp set

I decided to make a card using the "Back to School" stamp set and loved how it turned out.  I used the Love Struck cartridge to cut out this detailed heart (cut at 3 inches) embossed the card with a Basic Grey embossing folder, added some ribbon, and then stamped the sentiment.  You could easily make a set of these cards in no time.  Take a look at what some of the design team members have come up with.  Take an opportunity to check out their blogs and send some crafty love!  They have worked so hard over the last six months and I truly appreciate everything that they have done.  I love how creative these ladies are!!  Happy Wednesday everyone :)

I love my teacher Valentine gift

Save those Crystal Light containers!!!!  I use them all the time....nothing like recycling :).  I found this cute paper at Michael's in a Recollection paper pack, the ribbon was 70% off on clearance and the brads were 50% off!!!  I used the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge to cut out the heart at 2 inches.  The stitched tag is a My Creative Time Die and the stamp is from Create Your Classroom's "Back To School" stamp set.  I used a silver Sakura glitter pen to color in the heart and this turns into an inexpensive but useful teacher gift.  I am all about creating on a dime!!  You could fill this container with school supplies, candy, or put a gift card inside.  Possibilities are endless!  Hope you all are having a great weekend.

This is a super quick and inexpensive Valentine gift for students.  It is another great option if you do not want to give out candy :).  I am always trying to find ways to create little surprises for my students without absorbing a lot of money and time which are never on my side.  I used the Love Struck Cricut cartridge to cut out the hearts (3 1/2 inches) and then just used a 1/2 inch hole punch to insert the pencils.  The stamp image "Your just write" is from the Create Your Classroom's Back to School stamp set :)  I am loving the fact that I am able to use this stamp set in various ways!!  Stay tuned later this week-the Design Team has something sweet to share with you and I'll be working on more simple, quick, and inexpensive goodies for students.  Have a super weekend!!

I had fun making this easy card using the Create a Critter 2 cartridge.  I cut the apple
at 3 inches and used red and white cardstock.  I also used the Create Your Classroom "Back
to School" stamp set.  I thought this was
the perfect sentiment for the card.  I found
this paper from Michaels "Recollections" and
it was on sale 5 packs for $10.00 not to mention the 15% teacher discount.  I was
also able to pick up some brads that were
50% off.  I used the white heart brad for
the stem of the apple.  What a sweet deal!!
I am trying to create some easy simple cards
to get me through the rest of the school year.
I am low on the thank you cards as well as some general pick me up cards.  I am hoping
to finish up my Valentine's cards and student goodie bags this week and then it will be on
to finishing up some Easter cards and Disney scrapbook pages.   We are having unusually warm weather here in Maryland.  Today it reached 60 degrees!!  My students loved
being outside for recess today :)  Have a great week!!!

Valentine's Day Goodie Bags for Students!!

I am totally in love with owls!!!  How cute is this??!!  I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge and cut the owl image at 3 1/2 inches.  The paper I used came from an old Valentine's paper pack from Michaels (Recollections)  I found this ruffle red ribbon at Michaels....super cute!!!!!  I love this type of project because you can truly crank them out quickly!!  The Create a Critter 2 cartridge is super easy to layer and assemble.  Now off to the craft dungeon to make 22 more!!!  Have a fantastic week :)

Happy New Year everyone!!  2012 was an adventurous year for me personally.  When I sat down to think of everything that I did I was pretty satisfied and happy.  I attended several scrapbooking conventions and stamping expos with wonderful friends.  I met Dyan Reaveley and took an art journaling class that she taught which was fabulous.  Met up with Jenni Bowlin at a convention and had a nice chat with her and her husband.  Took a class with Wendy Vecchi and loved it!  I was able to release my very first stamp set and hope to have many more to come in 2013.  Create Your Classrooms very first design team was formed.  My family survived yet another horrible hurricane on the East Coast.  Most of all, 2012 brought some realization in the fact that family, friends, and happiness are so very important.  I think I was missing that piece.....making family, friends and happiness a priority which is why I decided to take a little break towards the end of the year.  Being an elementary school teacher has its rewards and also challenges.   After the incredibly sad events that took place in Sandy Hook this past December it made me realize even more just how precious our time is with our loved ones.  So my resolutions or goals for 2013 will be to work on my health, make my family even more of a priority and spend more time with them.  (it makes for great scrapbook pages too!) Meet new friends, make my crafting more meaningful, produce more stamps for Create Your Classroom, be happy, and stay positive even when things can drag you down.  Thank you to all of my crafting friends and buddies who have shared their inspirations, creativity, and passion for crafting.  You keep me going!!
I wish all of you a fresh new beginning in 2013....much love, happiness, and health!!!!!!  Here's looking forward to a productive 2013.
   HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
